J. Wayne Reitz Union
Educating Leaders for a Global Community
Customers may purchase Memberships to the Arts and Crafts Center (ACC) for a day, a semester or a half semester. Membership allows a customer to use the facilities (equipment, tools, pottery glazes and patinas) when the Arts and Crafts Center is open to the public. Memberships may be included with the purchase of specific Leisure Courses for a specific period of time.
A Daily membership allows customers to join the ACC for ONE day. The Daily membership rate is a fixed rate for all customers, regardless of University affiliation.
A Semester membership allows customers to join the ACC for the current academic semester. There are two fixed rates. The rate for University of Florida students and their spouses is a discounted rate. All other customers are considered General Public and are charged a fixed rate. A Half-Semester membership becomes effective after the middle of a semester (usually after mid-terms); the rate charged is one-half the fixed semester rate. Customers purchase separate Summer A and Summer B memberships.
Customers will receive Membership cards, upon purchase of a membership; customer information is included on a Membership Roster. Members are required to wear their membership cards when they are in the facility. Membership cards are filed in a container that resides on the ACC front counter.
Customers may rent lockers, which are located in the ACC. The purchase price is a fixed price for all customers and allows a customer to use a specific locker for an academic semester. Customers choose a locker and sign a Locker Rental Agreement. Customers are required to clean out their lockers at the end of the semester; after a specified, publicly posted period of time, ACC employees will appropriately discard items left in abandoned lockers.
