Cybervisions: Digital Paintings by Achamyeleh Debela
A solo exhibition of digital paintings by Ethiopian-born artist Achamyeleh Debela opens March 12th and runs through to April 1st, 2007. A closing reception will be held on Wednesday, March 28th from 7 - 9 pm. The artist will be giving a gallery talk at 8pm the night of the reception. Exhibition demonstrates Achameyeleh's ability to bridge traditional and digital painting techniques. He presents paintings that validate the medium as a powerful, exciting vehicle well-suited for his improvisation in which spectacular optical effects are celebrated.
