Survivors Art Exhibit 2007
The annual art exhibit supported by the Gainesville Commission on the Status of Women will be on display April 30 - May 11, 2007. A reception will be held on Friday, May 4th from 7 - 9 pm.
In its eleventh year, the Survivors Art Exhibit is a unique showcase that underscores the survivors journey, from initial victimization to resolution. Through a variety of media: painting, drawing, watercolor, photography, poetry, and sculpture, survivors create personal stories of domestic violence, family violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, spiritual abuse, and other forms of personal violence.
