“My Mind's Eye”, an exhibit of mixed media sculpture and paintings presented by University of Florida Professor Emeritus, Ron Haase. As an architect, Haase is well known for his Cracker-style homes, and his research in the field led to his popular book, Classic Cracker, published by Pineapple Press. From this design background, Haase approaches art as an opportunity to simplify both nature and man-made form to their basic fundamentals. In this exhibit, we see new work in sculpture in which Haase revisits familiar architectural forms of barns, adobe houses, and classic Florida architecture. This exhibit will be on display from January 6 through 23, 2008, with a reception held on Thursday, January 15, from 7-9pm. Refreshments will be served.
