"Tanzania Alive", is an exhibit of photographs presented by University of Florida Creative Photography Sophomore, Scott Robertson. Scott "left for Tanzania with a camera and the hope to learn as much about the country's people as possible in the three months" he would spend there. While in Tanzania, Scott met and photographed many people- "yearning to capture their character and strength in a photograph." While capturing others Scott found himself "captured by the beauty and forthright nature of the country and people."
In his photographs, Scott works to portray the humility and strength of the Tanzanian people, while showcasing their every day life. This exhibit will be on display from January 26 through February 13, 2009, with a reception held on Thursday, January 29, from 7-9pm. Exhibit is free and open to the public.
