Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Club

Purpose: The purpose of this organization is to allow University of Florida students and faculty members to experience a martial art from Brazil as well as cultural aspects of the counrty, such as its language, and customs.

Activities: Through instruction by a qualified representative and member of the Confederation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, unique techniques to this martial art will be demonstrated, practiced, and mastered. There will be sessions of stretching and calistenics in order to 'warm-up,' followed by the above activities. Competition is strongly recommended when a certain level is attained.
