Rock Climbing

Hang precariously with only your fingers and toes to support you. Slowly ascend your way up a menacing 50-foot rock face in the mountains of North Carolina. Feel the exhilaration as you reach the top, turn around to see a breath-taking view of the surrounding peaks.

Some of the most exciting outings with TRiP are our rock climbing excursions. Our rock climbing guides are well trained in handling climbing gear and safety to insure a fun, secure climbing experience for any skill level. Our goal is to select routes that challenge and encourage participants to test their limits; however, the goal of climbing program is to expose people to climbing regardless of their previous experience. Sometimes the best climbers do not make it to the top. Whether you are trying rock climbing for the first time or want to perfect your skills, our trips are for you. We frequently climb Looking Glass, Sandrock, Foster Falls and Rocktown. In addition, our rock climbing program has recently added Gator Nights, Friday at the Gainesville Rock Gym. This program offers discounted prices and a community of climbers to help you learn.

In addition to the items on the participant checklist, climbers should bring:
